Ginseng ,?

where find|||100 yen shops almost always sell little drinks with ginseng in them. If you're looking for plain old raw ginseng, it's hard to find. Check out some old Chinese herbal medicine shop.

Strangely most Japanese don't really know what ginseng is. They just call it a carrot from Korea or something, and why would they want a carrot from Korea? I don't know why it didn't really catch on.

It does exist though in various forms, like those drinks.

Try to find a Korean-style grocery store. Most major cities should have at least one small place where you can stock up on kimchi, seasoned seaweed, spicy tuna, and ginseng, at least in tea form.

Good luck with the adventure.|||I rock.
